Experiencing Spiritual Intimacy

Welcome back to another fall ladies bible study. This fall we are using a Women of Faith study guide to grow closer to our Lord. I have been so blessed by the ladies that support this ministry. I am truly humbled by your presence. Week 3 leads us to a better knowledge of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Check out John 14:16 as Jesus promises to intrecede for us and ask the Father to send us a helper that will be with us forever.

The God Who Sees

If you haven't kept up with the homework, it's okay. Keep coming. El Roi, the God who sees, sees us in our best and worst moments. Where are you today? Do you need a reminder that God sees you and knows both your joy and your sorrow? I know I needed that reminder. Without His help I would fall apart. How do people make it in today's stressful world without knowing HIM?

Introduction to Patriarchs

Wow what a start! That was some lesson on names. I don't know about anyone else, but that was a tough introduction. I suppose that the following sessions will help to put all those names into perspective. It was eye-opening to see how God's plan has been worked since the beginning and how the names of our Patriarch's really lead to His nation, the nation that He made his covenant with.

New Season of WISH!

Welcome back as we begin our 3rd annual fall Women's Bible study. This year we will be using Beth Moore's study of the Old Testament, Patriarchs. This study will trace the calling of our Old Testament fathers, Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Because this is another Beth Moore study, the format will follow last year's, with a weekly video session and 5 days of "homework". While the homework will truly enrich your study and understanding of the session, please do not feel guilty about not keeping up with it. The Wednesday night video sessions will bring unimaginable inspiration and information on their own. Please come and join us on this year's journey!

In Memory of Ashley Bond Peters

We have suffered an incredible shock this month. We will miss Ashley very much, and we will miss her smile. Through her death God's work is being accomplished. Six baptisms in 2 weeks! INCREDIBLE! I thank the Lord for her life, for her witness and I pray that I could reach just half the number of people that Ashley has. We have a promise from our Lord, we have a task before us, and one day, we will see Ashley again, and we will meet her with our Savior saying, Holy, Holy, Holy.

God Bless you this week.

I needed that....

WOW! I needed that, I don't know about you, but I had lots of questions from the study of the lampstand. I think it is amazing to see how things are repeated throughout scripture. Our God has a wonderful and awesome plan working!

One of the things I have pondered and been amazed about comes from our study of the tribes of Israel. I am often in amazement and wonderment at what the Lord has done for me, not just a sinner, but a Gentile at that! What kind of awesome feeling to be one of the Jewish children and know that Christ came as Messiah to the world. There have been times in this study when I have envied the position the children of Israel have in God's plan. The blessings they receive. Not that I'm not TOTALLY thankful for the blessings bestowed to everyone, but to be part of the "named" children, wow.

I pray that God does a mighty work in you this week. Press on to the goal and the blessings, He is so anxious to give. Have a great week.

Refeshment and Regeneration

Hope all you scrapbookers had a GREAT weekend! As you take this week to catch up, I hope you have the oppurtunity to just spend some "quiet time" with the Lord. He has so much to say to us in His word. I have already been blessed this week by His gentle reminder of the importance of a healthy prayer life.

Take some time to write a prayer poem to the Lord. You will be blessed by it. Tell Him everything that is on your heart and then let the healing begin.

Happy Reformation!

You may not be aware, but today is a real day to celebrate in the Protestant faith. On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther, a German monk, nailed 95 grievances against the Catholic church to the door of the Wittenburg Castle Church. Thus marking the begining of the Protestant Reformation.

Tonight's meeting will offer us an opportunity for discussion that we have not yet had afforded to us. I am very excited to get together and have "conversation" on these topics which have been impacting us for the last 5 weeks.

The Things I Do...

The things I do, I don't want to do and things I don't want to do - thats what I do!

Referring to day 2 lesson when Paul was writing to Rome, I definately identify with Paul's struggle with his own flesh. I always have good intentions, but fall so short so often and get so disappointed with myself. Thank goodness there is no condemnation for those in Christ!

My diagram is pretty funny looking. LOL! It is interesting to see how its all coming together. How so many things that happened BC refer to the Jesus on the cross. It was neat to see the different sacrifices and what they stood for. I am actually ahead this week, and looking forward to doing more tonite.
I would have LOVED to be in the crowd when they saw God and all his glory. Wow you notice they immediatly feel on their faces. God is so awesome!

Can't wait to see what is in store Wednesday night.

Finally Saturday! It's been such a busy week for me. Had something going on every night!! I wanted to comment on the very last thing Beth mentioned in her video last Wednesday night that so touched me. She said that when we are in that dark place in our lives and we just can't seem to find God or we don't think He is there, it may just me He had his hand over our face and had tucked us in the cleft of a rock for protection. How awesome is that thought!!! Sitting there in that room I got chills!! God's presence is with us each time we meet and each and every other day! HOW AMAZING!!

We are finally beginning to study the tabernacle this week. My diagram is pretty funny looking. I can't wait to see how each of you have interupted what the versus say about how it is built.

Keep studying! Just MAKE the time! Love you all!

Week 3 - Prepared Hearts

As we prepare for our next meeting consider the questions that have been posed to us at the beginning of this week.

What happened when the Israelties gave generously?
What is the one and only sure foundation?
In addition to salvation, with what can we be clothed?
With what did God fill Bezalel, and why?
Why did God tell Moses to go back down the mountain?

It is my prayer that my offerings be given generously and with a free heart, that what I give will stand the test of fire, that I remember the price of my robe of righteousness, that the Holy Spirit is ever-present in my life, and that even in times of fear, trouble and doubt that I wait on the Lord for His guidance, counsel, and provision. I hope you all have experienced the Lord's provision this week!

You know I am a Mother, and I can't imagine watching my child suffer like this. I thank God that he sent his ONLY son to die for me! Who am I? I am just woman brought forth from the rib of man, which was brought forth from the dust of the ground.
THANK YOU GOD for loving me, little ole me, enough to send you son to die so that I might live with you in Heaven.

Way to go Teresa! I am so glad we now have a "blog!" Who would have thunk it??! Thank you so much for your time and effort you have put forth in getting this set up. Now we as partcipants just have to contribute and this type of forum can be so helpful and inspiring! I am managing to keep up with the study, and yes some nights it is difficult! But, isn't anything worth doing and studying and living and being difficult? I am loving the study and when I have more time I will post some of my favorite versus and how God is speaking to me through the study this week! But for now - post a hello ladies, let's use this blog and really step up the communication regarding this wonderful study of God's tabernacle!
